Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
The town crew has been out and about decorating the lamp posts downtown with wreaths, residents are busy with their home displays and businesses are bringing in new stock and decorating for Christmas as well.
The Princeton and District Chamber of Commerce has been quite busy too.
The annual light up and visit with Santa has been planned for this coming Friday, November 25.
Festivities will include; welcome, lights on and Santa’s arrival at Veterans Square beginning at 6 p.m. Visits with Santa will begin approximately 6:30 p.m., and Janelle Morcombe of Paperclip Collective will be on hand to take professional photos.
Three venues offer you the chance to warm up, have a treat and enjoy various forms of entertainment while you are enroute throughout town to do your shopping. Hot chocolate and popcorn at Veterans Square, pet treats crafts and cotton candy at the Princeton Plaza Mall and roast marshmallows at the Similkameen Spotlight.
Take a break from shopping and enjoy a Christmas wagon ride through town.
A snow sculpture and Christmas tree competition will be held at Veterans Square, call Lori at the Chamber to register. 250-295-3103.
Have you got a wiener dog? Enter your pup into the first annual Christmas Wiener Dog Race, planned for 7:30 p.m., on Bridge Street. Call Kathy at 250-295-6060 or Lori at 250-295-3103 to register.
Princeton Bucks are back! Get your passports ready—businesses participating in the light up and passport program will be open until 9:00 p.m. Fill your passport for a chance to win Princeton Bucks (to be spent at participating businesses), the Passport Program runs to December 15, winners will be chosen on the 16.
