Legend has it that the Collared Dove made its way to B.C. via Netherlands and the Bahamas. An exotic pet store in the latter country was broken into and the birds escaped, eventually colonizing North American. Photo John Moody

How many different birds can YOU identify?

Seen any birds lately?

The Okanagan and Similkameen regions are home to over 300 species of birds, and 35 of those species are threatened or endangered.

The area is a favorite draw for birders. Many vantages are protected; preserved to observe, record, and photograph.

Princeton B.C.’s wildlife photographer John Moody made several captures earlier this month.
