Foster Parents urgently needed

Foster Families are very special people who provide temporary care for children, in a warm, loving, family environment.

Foster Families are very special people who provide temporary care for children, in a warm, loving, family environment, for a limited amount of time, until the children can return home. Foster families open their homes and their hearts to children of all ages.

Children come into their homes needing a safe place, to be cared for and accepted for who they are. Some children stay a few days, while others may stay longer. Some children are even adopted by their foster family and others remain in close contact even after they return home. Foster Families care for children with a wide array of behaviors and challenges. They work as part of a team of professionals centered on the child and their needs.

We are currently experiencing a shortage of qualified Foster Homes. If you have ever considered learning more about fostering, please come to one of our weekly information sessions. The homes and families are thoroughly screened and education is provided before placement.

Information Sessions are held on Wednesdays at the MCFD resource office #104-1873 Main St., Penticton B.C.

Contact Amonika Schroeder at MCFD to register for an information session@ 250-770-7524
