In loving memory ~

Lorrie Folick (nee Robinson) passed away peacefully in Cloverdale, BC, on November 4, 2023. Lorrie was predeceased by her first husband, Rod Folick and her second husband, Ted Treavor. Lorrie was the proud mother of 5 children whom she and Rod raised in Princeton. Sadly, Lorrie lost her only daughter (Becky) in 1980 in a tragic work-related accident. All 5 children attended Princeton Secondary School.

She was born in Canoe, BC, and she worked and lived in Vancouver as a BC Tel switchboard operator before marrying Rod and moving to Princeton, where Rod was a telegraph operator for the Railway. Lorrie was an athlete. Being only 5' 2" inches in height, she was a feisty softball pitcher.

As a mother of five, she always kept a massive garden in the back lot and was rightfully proud of her home-made bread making abilities. Around the horse race tracks, she was known as the lady who could cook a turkey dinner and all the fixings in a travel trailer. Her love of the water was always evidenced by her swimming for hours in the lakes around Princeton—or in the Shuswap. She had a charm that would light up a room, aided by her piercing blue eyes. She had a keen interest in music and singing, attending many concerts and musicals with family and friends. Lorrie would spontaneously break into a song, which would grow louder after a glass of bubbly. She was always welcoming to her children's many friends who came to visit.

Lorrie is survived by her sons—Ross, Cliff, Lorne, and Patrick—and her many grandchildren. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers at Zion Manor who so gracefully cared for our mother. Lorrie will be interned with Rod and her daughter Becky in Princeton.
