Lana Lymburner

May 1, 2011

Lymburner, Lana Annette (esselink)

1945 - 2011

After an 11-year remission, Lana succumbed suddenly to a recurrence of lung cancer in May, bringing an end to a vibrant life filled with friends, family, satisfying work and hobbies. Lana is now touring the quilt shops of Heaven, driving her silver Mercedes with her beloved little dogs by her side, handing out her valuable advice and opinions, and sharing her contagious laugh with a loftier crowd.

She will always be remembered as the classy, sassy red-head, and the proud and loving mother of her son, Dean Lymburner (Riverton WY), her daughter, Corina Lymburner (Victor ID), and her four dearly loved grandchildren; former wife and friend to Burton Lymburner (Fairbanks AK); and devoted, long-time (18 years) employee to the McCann Family’s H&M Electric (Marysville WA).

A Washington State resident (Bothell, Marysviille, Stanwood) since 1973, Lana was an avid horsewoman who, together with her daughter, trained and showed horses for many earlier years. Always a seamstress, Lana developed an admirable talent for beautiful, artistic quilting and shared her love of this fruitful hobby with family, friends and fellow members of the

Camano Island Quilters over the past several years.

Lana was predeceased by her parents, Charles & Ada (Wilson) Esselink, (Kamloops BC) and her only brother Kenneth Esselink (Princeton BC).

All who knew her were welcomed to attend a creative celebration of Lana’s life on September 10, 2011 at the Stanwood United Methodist Church, 2 - 4:00 p.m.

And, if at all possible, please bring that “beautiful, creative project you know she’d have loved!”
