In loving memory ~
Frank Armitage, former Mayor of Princeton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 10, 2023, at the age of 83 years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Darnella, and children Michael and Diane (Scott). He was sadly predeceased by his son Frank in 2022.
Frank grew up in Princeton with his wife Darnella. He then spent 50+ years in the Canadian mining sector with major companies. During his time in Stewart, B.C., he got a taste of municipal politics serving three terms as an alderman. In the early 2000s, he returned to his hometown and came out of retirement to work at the Copper Mountain Mine while pulling double duty as a councillor for the Town of Princeton. Frank was elected mayor in 2012 and served until 2018.
There was a Funeral Service at Riverside Learning Centre, 148 Old Hedley Road, Saturday, August 19th at 12:30 P.M.
