The index forecast shows slight improvement for Friday with the Central and South Okanagan moving to a two on the scale while the North Okanagan is forecasted to remain at a three rating.

A smoky skies bulletin from the Ministry of Environment remains in effect in the Interior Health region today because of smoke causing poor air quality and reducing visibility.

The areas in the province that are forecasted to have the highest risk today include Kamloops (seven currently and moving to eight later today), the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver (seven) and Williams Lake (currently seven, forecasted to move to three later today).
