‘Violent offender’ with warrants from Kelowna could be in Nanaimo

A man deemed a violent offender and wanted for alleged crimes in the Okanagan could be in the Nanaimo area.

Darius Konefall-Townsend, 27, has warrants for assault and mischief from a 2023 incident in Kelowna, noted Nanaimo RCMP in a press release, and added that the wanted man could be living and working in Nanaimo.

The suspect is 5-foot-11, 150 pounds, with dark hair and hazel eyes, the press release noted. Also, he is associated with a white truck with ladders affixed the roof, with B.C. licence plate No. VL1967.

Anyone with information is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, citing file No. 2023-42831.
