Police are still on the lookout for 52-year-old Barrie Quirt Friesen, a "prolific" offender with over 88 convictions.

His movements have been traced by police from the Upper Fraser Valley to Kamloops and the Southern Okanagan region.

Friesen has used different aliases since his disappearance and made several attempts to take financial advantage of others, the RCMP said. He also has a history of taking vehicles without consent and driving impaired.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Friesen on Jan. 10 after he failed to report from jail to his assigned community based residential facility in Kamloops to serve his remaining sentence in the community.

He was last seen wearing a red and grey ski jacket, blue ball cap, blue jeans, white runners and carrying a blue duffle bag. He has tattoos that go around each wrist in the shape of a bracelet.

Police are asking that anyone who may have been in contact with Fiesen or received any suspicious or threatening calls for money to report the information immediately.

He has a history of violence and should not be approached, RCMP said.
