Business development officer says study could lead to fewer store vacancies

Princeton is looking for $10,000 to find out what kind of businesses the community needs.

At a meeting Monday night council approved a plan to apply for the grant from the BC Rural Dividend Fund.

Called a “Gap Analysis”, business development manger Gary Schatz said if successfully completed it could reduce the number of vacant storefronts in the town.

He said the grant money would be used to hire expert help to interview residents and business owners.
