A local magic mushroom shop is closed after a police search earlier in the day Wednesday.
Kelowna RCMP say officers executed the search warrant in the 200-block of Lawrence Avenue on Dec. 13 in connection with drug trafficking. Police were seen at the psilocybin shop around 1 p.m.
Essence Wellness, which opened in July, is located at 246 Lawrence Ave.
A reporter on scene said the doors were locked and the shop was closed by as of 3 p.m. RCMP were no longer on scene.
Kelowna RCMP say there was no concern for public safety.
