Detour in place for construction on Summerland road

Crews working on sewer along portion of Victoria Road North

A portion of Victoria Road North in Summerland is closed as crews are working on sewer main upgrades.

The road, from Turner Street to Jones Flat Road is closed and traffic must detour.

Anthony Haddad, chief administrative officer for Summerland, said the work is needed for the Hunters Hill development project.

Once the sewer work has been completed, crews will repave the section.

The work is expected to be completed later this summer.
