At Drax, the company is committed to being a good neighbour in the communities they operate in and across British Columbia. Their presence in these communities has always been underpinned by a dedication to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. They’re proud to support local jobs and families, ensuring that their operations have a ripple effect of positive impacts throughout the region.

As they streamlined operations at the Princeton plant, they made the decision to stop selling pellets from the plant directly to customers. While pellets will continue to be produced, a search is underway for a distributor that can serve in this capacity going forward to ensure that pellets made in Princeton can be sold locally.

Drax knows how important local pellets are to the community, and they remain committed to producing pellets for their Princeton customers. They also recognize the trust the community places in them, and remain committed to producing pellets for their Princeton customers.

As they work with the community and interested distributors to find a suitable solution, they promise transparency and regular communication. They’ll be sure to keep the community updated about the continued access to local pellets.

With the winter heating season approaching, Drax understands the urgency of ensuring consistent fuel supply. They want to ensure the Princeton community has the fuel needed to stay warm.

As a short-term measure, they welcome you to join them on Sept. 15, Oct. 13, and Nov. 17 for a Community Pellet Sale. From 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their Drax Princeton Plant (301 Old Hedley Road), Princeton residents are invited to come pick up pellets for the winter at a rate of $250/tonne.

They look forward to seeing you at the event. If you have any questions, insights or suggestions, please contact mediacanada@drax.com.
