Not everyone is happy about legalization

To the editor

How wonderful, our town may have a pot store, and most importantly a “lounge” where anyone of age can finally “relax.”

Instead of home with the brats, parents would now have the opportunity to spend their quality time with others of the same ilk. What a marvelous chance to possibly gain temporary obliviousness to moral home commitments, while at the same time championing the present day inference sweeping the country that pot is cool. Great message for the younger generation.

In his letter to the editor of February 15 Mr. Ebenau lauds the alleged fact that Hedley once harboured a wonderful compassion society, establishing better than 400 clients.

If that be so than Princeton would at least double that figure of “folks” as he calls them. Coming and going from his marijuana store and “lounge” would they be walking?

Mr. Ebenau professed to having all safety concerns addressed. With the huge spike in highway fatalities directly attributed to marijuana consumption, I assume he would be prepared to arrange for safe transportation from his place of business for his customers. Medicinal usage aside if it is inevitable that a facility of this type must situate in Princeton would it not be wiser to have it government run?
