Driving after wine with dinner? Reader looks for suggestions to avoid breaking the law

Re: Editorial, February 7, 2019, “Impaired driving – time to get over it.”

It seems that we are a town population that enjoys a good drink. Perhaps we have a lot to celebrate. I believe we are also generally fine, upstanding, law abiding citizens. The article states that most of Princeton’s charges originated with what could fairly be described as moderate drinking (and driving). And certainly the police enforcement policies are in the best interests of the safety of all users of the roadways.

So, say you go out with your spouse to celebrate your wedding anniversary at one of our fine local establishments and order a bottle of wine with dinner.

This could presumably land you in a compromised situation in your efforts to get home. I wonder, could Spotlight staff be so kind as to investigate and advise us good citizens as to what the alternative methods of safe transportation might be in our good little town?

As far as I know there is only one taxi, and the little bus isn’t going to get you home from the pub when it closes.

Suggestions please?
