So, you want to be a busker?
Applications are now open for this season’s Penticton Buskers Program, the city announced on April 19.
Whether it’s with drums or acoustic guitar, anyone interested in showcasing their “street-style” talent is encouraged to apply.
The program runs from May 15 to Oct. 15, with performances taking place between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Busking activities include:
• Playing an instrument or multiple instruments
• Performing a song, dance routine, mime act, clowning, juggling, puppetry, comedy or magic
• Living statue-act
• Performing a circle show
The city has designated the following areas for its busking program:
• Lakeshore Drive at Power Street
• Lakeshore Drive at Winnipeg Street
• Main St. at Lakeshore Drive
• Nanaimo Ave. at Main Street
• 300 block of Main Street
