It was like the clocks had turned back to the holiday season for a pair of Penticton children on June 2.

Penticton’s Knights of Pythias donated two bicycles to the local BGC Okanagan and on Friday six-year-old Bradley and seven-year-old Sassa were lucky enough to win them.

Every time kids at the BGC read a book, they wrote their names on a piece of paper and place it into a box. Staff members held a draw and randomly selected the names of those who would be the recipients of the donated bicycles.

Ed Cale, chancellor commander at the Knights of Pythias, was in attendance for the draw.

He was joined by fellow members Marv Wilson, Bill McConnell, Barry Owen and Mike Firomski.

The group regularly donates to the BGC Okanagan.

Later this month, the BGC Okanagan hosts its Golf 4 Kids fundraiser at the Twin Lakes course.

People can register for the June 22 event here.
