Outside of their usual maintenance and preparations for enjoying the winter season at China Ridge, members have been busying themselves preparing for BC’s first Family Day.

On Saturday, February 9 the KVR trail from Princeton to Coalmont will be active with cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Volunteers from China Ridge Trails will have it groomed and ready for a great day.

On Monday, February 11, 2013 from 10 a.m., to 2 p.m., China Ridge Trails invites residents to join them in a “Similkameen Fun in the Snow Day”

Try snowshoeing or cross country skiing— there is plenty of equipment and instructors on hand. Bring your sled and have some fun on the toboggan hill and the luge run. Enjoy lunch and the SOGO Winter Sport Challenge for the kids.

There will be free transportation available to and from town beginning at 9:30 a.m., at Town Square, Vermilion Forks School and at Copperhill Lanes. (Bowling Alley)

Be sure to bring a mug so you can enjoy a good hot drink while you are enjoying the snow.

“Fun in the Snow Day” has been made possible with the community partnership of the Town of Princeton, Communities for Kids, SOGO Activities, Peach City Runners & Adventure Sports, Cooper’s Foods, Princeton Bakery and China Ridge Trails.
