A fundraiser dance will be held in early May to raise money for repair work at the Harold Centre Memorial Youth Centre in Summerland.
The facility has been used for youth groups including Brownies, Guides, Pathfinders, Cubs, Scouts, Cadets and others. In addition, the building is available for private or public functions. Pickleball, volleyball, basketball and floor hockey groups have rented the gym.

The youth centre was opened in 1994 and is operated by volunteers from the Summerland Youth Centre Association, the Kinsmen and others.
The Spring Fling Dance Fundraiser on Saturday, May 7, has been organized to raise money for the facility.
Over the past two years, the COVID-19 restrictions have hurt the organization financially, said Linda Curle of the Summerland Pickleball Club. As a result, the club members are hosting the dance fundraiser. Tickets are $25 and the event is for those 19 and older. Tickets are available at Bead Trails, 13207 Victoria Rd. N.; at Replenish, 9921 Main St. or by calling Curle at 250-809-4790.
Cash donations of more than $25 will be issued tax receipts.
