Celebrate Mining Day in Princeton

The Mining Association of British Columbia, Copper Mountain Mining Corporation, the District of Princeton and the Princeton Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce Princeton Mining Day celebrations in Princeton on May 3rd, 2011

Princeton has a long history with mining and mining is poised to play an important role in the future with the opening of the Copper Mountain mine in summer of 2011. Last year the community support for Mining Day was overwhelming with over 600 members of the community coming out for the Copper Mountain Mine tour.  To celebrate Princeton Mining Day this year, several events are planned on May 3rd, including a Chamber of Commerce Luncheon, a Copper Mountain sponsored family event and an evening fundraiser casino night and loonie auction to support the Princeton and District Museum.

The luncheon will provide business leaders in Princeton with the opportunity to hear about how the mining industry in BC can benefit the community and what future steps the industry is taking to ensure social and economic sustainability. In the evening, a charity casino fun night is planned and will include prizes, a roving magician, a loonie auction appetizers and drinks.  Tickets are $25 and all proceeds will go towards supporting the Princeton and District museum Schedule of events:
