Variety is the spice of life or so the saying goes. “Just Desserts” was an event chalk full of talent.

The Princeton Community Arts Council will be hosting a free Sustainability Semester at Riverside Centre on the 17th and 18th September. ArtBC with support from Canadian Heritage and the BC Arts Council. The Princeton Community Arts Council is able to reintroduce a concert series as they have received a grant from the BC Arts Council Community Presenters programme.

After thrilling and delighting audiences through out the Okanagan during 2010, The Marron Valley Girls, aged 10 - 17, are going from strength to strength every time they saddle up.

The 46 Annual Princeton and District Agricultural Fall Fair has a weekend stock full of fun planned for all ages.

Sometimes words cannot begin to describe an experience. As if the setting was not breathtaking enough on its own, add in nature, a birthday, music, dancing, history and poetry. Lightning Lake at Manning Park became the location for an event Manning Park has not seen the likes of before. Arts in the Park was true to its name and true to the natural beauty of a park and our talented Canadians.

Princeton held their fourth annual Traditional Music Festival. For three days, streets were blocked off, feet tapped and audience burst into song. From haunting to jovial, the music stirred emotions into a brew of pure enjoyment.

A summer of theatre for Princeton residents didn’t come with broken promises and half-hearted acting. River Road Theatre came to town on the dead run and took Riverside Theatre by storm shaking the new structure to its very core. Thirty-nine Steps is an old play that was brought to life in a unique way by five very talented actors and the end result was really quite amazing.

This is the fourth in a series of stories about some of the performers appearing at the Princeton Traditional Music Festival. The Festival begins on the evening of Friday, August 19th with the opening ceremony followed by an Irish country dance on Veterans Way beside the Legion.

Riverside Theatre was again a hub of activity over the weekend. It was the second production in the promised nine week run of three plays for three weeks each.
