A gathering at the Legion last Thursday night was a celebration of a Princeton first. Princeton took on a program led by RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime Awareness Coordinator Amelia Hayden of Kelowna and Sgt. Dave Clare of Princeton and turned it into a resounding success thanks to many dedicated individuals and organizations.

The Princeton museum has received a much needed complete renovation, and will celebrate its Grand Re-Opening on Friday July 1, 2011 in conjunction with Canada Day celebrations including singing, birthday cake, games, live stage performances and much more. The entire community is invited to join in the re-opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 am at 167 Vermilion Avenue, Princeton BC.

Vermilion Forks students investigate crime scenes

Murder and mayhem have been foremost in the minds of some of the students at Vermilion Forks School as of late. They have been studying the fine details of forensic science through a fun team project. Teachers Shar Anderson and Georgina Tarswell started off this section of the Grade 7 Science Studies with the basic steps of forensics and from there the kids have been able to come up with some interesting stories of criminal intrigue.
