Morning Start: Did you know there is a liquid you can breathe like air?

Your morning start for Wednesday, March 11

Not to get too science-y on you here, but there really is a liquid with very specific qualities that animals can breathe just like it’s air.

Fun Fact of the day: Did you know there is a liquid you can breathe in?

A fluorocarbon called perfluorohexane has both enough oxygen and carbon dioxide with enough space between the molecules that animals submerged in the liquid can still breath normally. This unique property may be applied to medical applications like liquid ventilation, drug delivery or blood substitutes.

In theory, liquid breathing could assist in the treatment of patients with severe lung or heart trauma, especially in cases involving infants.

These fire tornados are wild!🌪 - They get the green color from mixing methanol and boric acid. The pink comes from lithium (from batteries) dissolved in methanol, and then the blue color is just what methanol burns regularly. When you mix it all together with fans in the right pattern to give a vortex you get this peacock looking fire color all wound up in a beautiful fire tornado! 😱 - Follow : @sci.videos for More ! 💨 - If you like this post then must check my other posts too ! - Share with your friends !
