For the second straight year, UBC Okanagan’s Jaeli Ibbetson is an all-star.
On Tuesday, Feb. 20, it was announced the Kelowna native has been named as a member of the Canada West Second Team All-Stars.
In her senior year, Ibbetson has put up a career high in points (17.7 per game), rebounds (12.7 per game) and assists (four per game). With those numbers, she finished the regular season leading Canada West in rebounds, tied for second in scoring, and tied for fourth in assists.

She was also named Canada West’s women’s basketball player of the week on two separate occasions this season.
On Feb. 10, she became the first player in UBCO Heat women’s basketball history and the eighth player all-time to record a triple-double in a game.
Ibbetson and the Heat are now getting ready for the playoffs, which start on Wednesday, Feb. 21 when they tip off against the Trinity Western Spartans at 8 p.m. in Abbotsford.
