Summerland golfers compete in league play

Summerland Ladies Club

On July 2, the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club played in the Zone 2 Challenge.

This competition was combined with low net results.

The Zone 2 challenge was won by Lynne Karaim in a count back with Carol Mulligan.

Summerland Senior Men

The Summerland Senior Men played a team game called “waltz time” where players counted 1-2-3 par point scores on consecutive holes.

The winning team with 88 points was Chuck Harman, Terry Steinke , Dwain Sandrelli and old man par.

Finishing second by countback with 86 points was the team of Dennis Glasscock, Ken Foster, Stu Macaulay and Bob Fortune

In third place with 86 points was the team of Les Brough, Andy Webster, Art Ecker and Frank Davie.

There were no deuces.
