Five local boys who play on the South Okanagan Midget Rep team won the Playoff Championship this past weekend which will take them to the Provincials.
The final round of playoffs started last weekend in Osoyoos with a 3-4 loss in double overtime. Mort Johnson, Craig Thompson, Brett Herrick, Parker Thibert and Tristan VanderMeulen all played their hearts out this Saturday in Kelowna winning 2-1, then again Sunday winning 3-2 in a hard fought battle. Nerves were high battling— wanting to win and wanting not to lose. Provincials will be hosted in 100 Mile House March 16-21.
