PSS Senior Rebels girls basketball team members are hard at it this summer trying to accomplish their fundraising goal in order to get to Arizona for the Cactus Jam Tournament in December.

Princeton Secondary Senior Rebels Girls Basketball team members have been dedicating some of their summer break to fundraise for an upcoming tournament.

The girls are hoping to raise enough funds to take them to the Cactus Jam Phoenix Hoop Classic Basketball Tournament being held in Phoenix, Arizona, December 26 to 31.

So far the team has sold hot dogs and hamburgers at the 2011 Princeton Air Show and at the Plaza Mall on Sunday, July 17 they held a car wash offering their clients a bbq lunch as well.

The team will be working at the pancake breakfast during the Princeton Traditional Music Festival in August and in early September, they plan to do a bottle drive.

The team would like to extend a huge amount of thanks to Ron Harkness (Princeton Plaza Mall), Mac’s Auto Parts for the donation of sponges and car wash, to Doug’s Homestead for the donation of smokies for the barbecues, to their parents for all their help and an extra special thank you to Rob Banks and Dawn Gardner of the Princeton Volunteer FIre Brigade for the outstanding support with the car wash.

These young ladies are dedicated team members working hard towards achieving their fundraising goal. Keep watch for them and their efforts over the next few months. With community support and team dedication, Cactus Jam is sure to be in their future.
