Summerland Ladies Club
On July 16, the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club chose “blind partners.”
After the round was played names were drawn to assign a partner and then the nets score were added together to determine the winners:
Results: First Lanette Graham and Ellen Clay, net 140, second Linda Brussee and Vijai Vaagen, net 146; third Lil Smith and Lynne Karaim, net 147.

Summerland Senior Men
On July 18, the Summerland Senior Men’s Club played a one gross, three net scores event.
Bob Fortune was the overall low gross with a 79 while Mike Bevan led all comers with a net 68. Jerry Sauve and Rick Drewnisz topped the second flight while Frank Davie and Al Thomas led the third flight.
Four players shared the deuce pot. They were Chuck Harman, Alf Vaagen, Nick Coe and Dave Cain.
First flight: First low gross Bob Fortune, 79; first low net Mike Bevan, 68; second low net Eric Johnson, 72 cb; third low net Garth Humphreys, 72.
Second flight: First low gross Jerry Sauve, 89; first low net Rick Drewnisz, 70; second low net Jerry McKenna, 72; third low net Jack Johnson, 73.
Third flight: First low gross Frank Davie, 95; first low net Al Thomas, 76; second low net Ken Blower, 77; third low net Dave Cain 78 cb.
