All heart The young Initiation team put it all out there in their battle against Osoyoos.

The Initiation A experienced their first real initiation into the world of hockey. The team headed over to Osoyoos on Jan. 23 to play their first official game. Their excitement and anticipation was obvious as they hit the ice.

The kids played hard and were all eager to show off the skills they had learned thus far this season. “We were very proud of our Initiation team for their sportsmanship and energy throughout the game,” said team manager Deanne Kary.

The game against the Osoyoos team was a tough match up, but the young Princeton team were the definite winners in spirit. They were smiling brightly before, during and after the game and made their coaches, parents and cheering fans very proud. The Princeton Minor Hockey Association looks forward to following the progress of this young team in the years to come.

Congratulations to Jessie Benson, Hawk Bruneau, Madison Fulton, Max Greening, Parker Gunn, Devon Harrison, Shaun Harrison, Sydney Lawes, Zack Lindquist, Reid MacMurchy, Skylar McKinnon and Mitchel Yee.

“Our kids kept trying hard right up until the end,” Kary continued, “and it was great fun seeing how much they have progressed since the beginning of the year.”
