Princeton Community Arts Council Society holds local art projects, shows and workshops and operates a gallery and gift shop on Vermillion Ave. in Princeton.
One of the highlights of the past few months was the Writers Fest in September, where we had 12 talented local writers, storytellers and poets present from their works in partnership with our local library. The works of these writers are available in our gallery.
The “Lest We Forget” Art Showcase was a big success. It was held at the Legion #56 on Remembrance day. Artists submitted works of art with the “Lest We Forget “ theme and members of the community voted for their favourite. First place was an oil painting by Lian Bai, which she generously donated to the Legion #56. Second Place was a Carved Slate piece by Cacey Butts, also donated to the Legion. Third Place was a paper Collage of vintage ephemera including barbed wire made from paper by Sharon Jessiman.
Next year is guaranteed to be busy and exciting. It will include our signature Copper Valley Music Festival in August, This event hosts BC and local bands such as The Coveralls (a group of local Millwrights by trade), Blues Hounds, Double Stop Creek and Wheat in the Barley. The Christmas event is our annual Arts and Crafts Sale in December 2025 featuring dozens of local artisans.
