Sadly, we announce the passing of William (Bill) Edward Macnab on Friday, November 20, 2020, at the age of 70. Bill was born in Pentiction, BC, on February 21, 1950, the first born to Norman and Helen Macnab. He grew up in Greenwood, attended school to the end of Grade 10, and then enlisted in the RCAF.
Throughout Bill's almost four years in the RCAF he was stationed at six different bases; his favourite station was Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt,
where he spent almost two years. While there he completed his Grade Twelve education at the Royal Canadian Navy Preparatory School.
Following the RCAF, Bill spent many years working in the auto industry, eventually finding work as a court transcript proof reader/ writer - one of his favourite jobs.
Bill is survived by his children, Corrie, Ian (Naomi) of Vancouver, and Audrey, of California.
He is also survived by grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and by his sisters Noreen Milstead (Rick) of Havelock, ON, and Gayle Macnab of Abbotsford BC.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Helen Macnab, brothers Don Fritz, Glen Fritz, Stanley Macnab, sister Muriel Smith, brother- in-law Jacob Smith and sisters-in-law Heather Fritz and Carol Fritz Bouchard.
The family would like to thank Dr. Black, and staff, at the Princeton Hospital, the many doctors at the Cancer Centre in Vancouver, and all the generous help received in the Princeton community.
There will be no service by request; cremation will take place and his ashes will be spread next Spring, 2021, when close family can be present.
