May 14, 1936 - September 8, 2018
Tall Timber Tom Mitchell has whistled his last tune and sung us his last song, He is off to Loggers Heaven, it's time to say so long. Surrounded by family Tom passed away peacefully on Sept 8, 2018. Tom was born May 14, 1936 in Penticton, BC to parents George and Mauvie Mitchell (nee Baird).

Aside from a short stay in Peachland as a teenager...Tom spent his whole life residing in Princeton. Tom married Audrey (nee aldous) and took on the role of Step-Father to Bob and Sharon. From the marriage of Tom and Audrey a daughter Audra was born. Tall Timber Tom was well known for his songwriting, singing, work in the logging industry and his unique ability to source water. There was seldom a time that you saw him without a smile for those he talked to and a whistle in the air.

Tom was pre-deceased by his wife Audrey in 1999. Tom is survived by his daughter Audra (Darrel) of Kamloops, Grandchildren Rachelle, Natasha, and Alisa Son Bob (Josey) of Kamloops. Grandchildren Ryan (Cheryl), Brant (Shannon), Laine (Josh) Daughter Sharon (Ron) of Sicamous, Granddaughter Shanda (Rod) Significant partner of 12 years Jeri Hilton of Princeton. Brother Terry of Princeton, Sister Helen ( Vern ) of Tete Jaune Cache, and Sister Ellanore of North Vancouver. Step Brother Don (Pam) of Clearwater. Step Brother Bart (Wendy) of Grande Cache Alberta. Numerous great grandchildren, nieces , nephews, cousins and friends.
