January 12, 1951 - August 8, 2019
Survived by his sisters: Vicky Nyssen (Jim), Hielkje Pataki (predeceased Joe), nephew Joe who was like a younger brother to Sytze, Corrie Tidball (Eldon), brother-in-law Glenn.
Beloved partner: Dina Slowikowski-Campbell & her daughter MaryAnn, predeceased by his parents: Hein and Jitske Kempenaar.
Sytze lived most of his life in Princeton, BC. He loved the outdoors and could often be spotted riding his bike on some bush road. He took thousands of wonderful nature photos all stored & catalogued perfectly. He was surrounded by his many collections, movies, books, antiques; all ordered and catalogued. He was also a master at making anything you might need out of what he had collected and stored.
He loved his family, kept in touch every week, often hosting Thanksgiving and Easter weekends. He spent Christmas' with his family in Chilliwack.
He was a great friend and neighbour of Ursula and Heinz Ebenau for over 30 years. Charlene Longdo, Faye and Robin were special neighbourhood friends. His newest neighbours, the Jensen's were a delight to him, especially his little angels; Noah, Eden, Chloe and Rebecca.
Sytze made strong friendships in the neighbourhood and was always there to help with any job or project. He was the "Beloved Caretaker of the Cul de Sac."
Beloved and missed by his family, friends and neighbours.
