In Loving Memory ~
Richard B. Lubiak was born on March 3, 1937, in Kovel, Ukraine, and passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, in Princeton, B.C.
Richard immigrated to Canada with his mother and family and settled in Toronto. He met his wife, Makko, at a wrestling match and later had three children. In 1979, they moved their family to B.C. to expand the company he worked in. He was a salesman for over 30 years.
Richard loved gardening, flowers and veggies, fishing, hunting, as well as rock and fossil hunting. Sadly, he lost his wife of 56 years to cancer in 2014 and missed her terribly every day.
He is survived by his three children, Stan, Nadia, and Tania; 5 grandchildren, Caitlin, Evan, Kyle, Leah, and Isaac; 1 great-grandchild, Wesley; 1 great-grandchild who is due to arrive at the end of February, as well as many family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada, or to the Cancer Research Society.
