Melissa Lynn Dennis, affectionately known as Missy to her family and close friends, was born March 24th,
1995 in Abbotsford.
At the age of 2, she moved to Princeton, graduating from Princeton Secondary School in 2013, before returning to Abbotsford at the age of 18. As a child, Missy enjoyed swim club, dancing, skating, dirt-biking, and snowmobiling. In recent years, her adventurous nature led her from hiking with friends and family in the Fraser Valley to hiking canyons in the U.S. Southwest. She loved squeezing through some local caves and even went skydiving. Recently she mastered crocheting and was making blankets for her boyfriend, her Mom & Dad and her sister for Christmas before she started on her own blanket.
After moving to Abbotsford, Missy completed her Life Guard training while working with her Dad. She later went on to attend UFV, becoming a certified Health Care Assistant and was enjoying working with Fraser Health in home care. Missy was kind-hearted: beautiful inside and out. Her laugh was contagious, and she made sure she had time for everyone she loved.
Melissa passed away suddenly on September 9, 2018, in Abbotsford. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her parents, Ed and Sharon Dennis, siblings Jessica, Tyler and Michael, grandmother Martha, as well as her many cousins, Aunts, Uncles, friends and her beloved dog Bella.
Until we see you again, sweetheart.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 22nd, 2018, 1:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home, Abbotsford BC followed by a reception. Condolences can be sent to www.hendersonsabbotsfordfunerals.com.
