October 29, 1928 - September 19, 2018
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our father Leslie Mckenzie. Les was born in Vancouver B.C on October 29th, 1928, the youngest of 5 children. He moved to Princeton in his late teens where he met and married Marilyn Ashley, and together they raised their 5 children.

In his early years Les worked for the Princeton Brewery Company before entering the logging and road construction business. In the early 60's Les, Tom Stout and Willy Wilkinson formed Tri Valley Construction, a logging and road construction company that is still viable today. Les had a love for hockey. In his early teens he worked at the Vancouver Forum as a rink rat, he played many years of hockey in Princeton and played until his 80's. He coached minor hockey in his early years and later supported the Princeton Posse up until last year. In retirement Les enjoyed fly fishing around the many lakes in Princeton and enjoyed his hobby farm out the Merritt highway.

For the last three years Les resided comfortably at Ridgewood Lodge. In 2012 Les was predeceased by his wife Marilyn, of 60 years. He is survived by his children Lynne (Mike) Wright, Kim (Pam), Terry (Grant), John (Sue) and Diane along with his grandchildren David Wright, Sheri Talerico, Logan, Jana and Ian McKenzie, Ashley and Katelyn McKenzie and his 9 Great Grandchildren.
