John passed away peacefully at ‘Ridgewood Lodge, Princeton, B.C. where he has resided for the past year and a half.
John was predeceased by his mother Mary and father Caesar Castellarin. John was born, raised and educated in Princeton, B.C. He worked as a bookkeeper and later a Customs Officer at the Vancouver Airport and the Port of Vancouver. John was recognized for his twenty-five years in the Public Service of Canada. John and his parents often returned to Princeton summers and holidays to their summer house on Allison Flats. John was very fond of the Similkameen Valley and later retired to Keremeos and Princeton. John enjoyed his property and home, “The Outpost”, on Highway #3.
John had a deep love of all animals, especially his two rottweiler companions, first Rex and then Duchess.
John has always had an interest in cars. He was proud of his wonderful collection of model custom cars.
John was a friendly, quiet, sensitive and private gentleman. He appreciated his close friends and he will be missed by them.
John will be laid to rest beside his parents in Penticton, B.C.
