Born on March 25, 1951, in Roblin, MB, Joan was a person of remarkable character. She touched the lives of many with her authenticity and generous heart. Throughout her life, Joan exemplified resilience in the face of challenges and always sought to uplift those around her, especially the underdog. Joan was known for her work ethic and commitment, working full-time at Princeton General Hospital until a short battle with cancer no longer allowed for her to work. She was treated with the highest level of care and compassion by the staff at PGH as a patient, and she was forever grateful for the exceptional care.

Family and friends were at the center of Joan's world, and she thrived when building connections and sharing her perspectives. She was often referred to as the boss, both by her family and coworkers! Joan was known for her generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her selflessness, outspokenness and empathy touched the lives of many.

While Joan's physical presence may be gone, her spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Upon request, there is no service. Instead, please raise a glass and have a toast to honor and celebrate Joan's life.
