JACQUELINE RAE:

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Jackie Chaston, on May 1, 2014 in Lacombe, Alberta, at the age of 81. She was born to Stanley and Margaret Bennett in Dryden, Ontario, and grew up in Vermilion Bay, Ontario. She lived in Kenora, Ontario, for a number of years where she earned her degree as an LPN. Jackie moved to White Rock, British Columbia, where she met and married Ross Chaston. After many years working as an LPN, Jackie had to retire due to health reasons. It was at that time that Jackie and Ross moved to Princeton, British Columbia. Jackie enjoyed acting, painting and was active in the church and the community. Recently, Jackie and Ross had moved to Clive, Alberta, to be closer to their family. Jackie was predeceased by her husband, Ross in 2013, her parents, Stanley and Margaret Bennett, and her sister, Shirley Bennett. She has beft to mourn her children, Randy (Linda) Hill, Glory (Tom) Lerch and Deb (Doug) Gilbertson, grandchildren, Kristin Hill (Coy Berard), Alyssa (Tim) Edison, Jared (Jess) Hill, Robert (Bobbi) Fitzgerald, Terry Fitzgerald, Shandi (Brian) Lauridsen and Randi (Eric) Piovesan, and great grandchildren, James, Lucas and Josephine Hill, Kianna and Connor Edison, Samantha and Alex Fitzgerald, Brayden Lauridsen and Ashton and Arizona Piovesan. Jackie is also survived by her brothers, Garnet Bennett and Lloyd (Sigi) Bennett. A service was held in Blackfalds, Alberta, at the United Church on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. In place of flowers, donations in Jackie’s honour may be made to a charity of your choice.
