September 26, 1957 - May 4, 2019
The friends, turned family, of Ian Thompson, with saddened hearts, would like to announce Ian's sudden passing on May the 4th. Ian was born September 26th, 1957.
Ian lived all over Canada making many friends along the way, but the beautiful mountains of British Columbia is where he found his home. Ian spent 20 years in Summerland, before moving to Princeton 3 years ago to live out his retirement surrounded by the mountains he loved. There are so many people that loved Ian Thompson greatly, to name them all would be next to impossible, but you all know who you are!
He will be dearly missed, but in Ian's own words, "God loves you, mother nature wants to kill you!", so cheers to all the bush men that respect mother nature, and love the wilderness the way Ian did.
A celebration of life will be held September 28th in Princeton, B.C. please call 1(250) 295-3359 for details. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local legion, or the Princeton and Summerland legion's.
