Young, Grant Alexander

After a lengthy illness, we sadly announce the passing of Grant Alexander Young, at 83 years of age. He faced his growing challenges this past year with strength, determination, and dignity. He was a model to family and friends alike. Grant was the beloved husband of Susan H. Young, for 60 years, and father of Alan (Mary) Young and Kathy Young Modesette. Grant will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Jessica, Logan, Allison and Foster. He is also survived by his brother Jack (Sheila) Young of Mission, B.C.
Grant was born in Pipestone, Manitoba and spent most of his life in B.C. He retired from B.C. Tel after 29 years. In retirement helping his family was his priority. He enjoyed being a member of the Bragg Creek Snowbirds and kept himself busy with his horses. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church in Cochrane, Alberta on Saturday , March 12 at 1 p.m.
