Ethel Maree Gibson passed away peacefully at her Princeton home on May 22, 2018 at the age of 94 years.
Ethel was born in Trail on July 26, 1923 and raised in Robson. She and her husband George moved to Princeton in 1949. Ethel loved nothing more than having all her family around her as she loved to cook and bake for the family. Also loved gardening and could make anything grow.
She also loved to curl when she was younger. Later in life she enjoyed watching it on TV. Princeton residents may remember Ethel from her cooking job at Edna's Drive Inn or her position as custodian at both the old and new schools. She was also a member of the Legion Ladies' Auxiliary for many years.
Ethel will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sons Wayne (Lynda), Donald (Shirley), and David, all of Princeton, Douglas (Cathy) of Penticton, and daughter Linda Stang (Gord) also of Penticton, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was sadly predeceased by her husband George Gibson in 1978, also by her sisters Elizabeth 'Betty' Schmunk in 2006, and Florence 'Snooky' Jenner in 2011.
