May 21, 1950 - March 14, 2019
The town of Princeton and community of Missezula Lake and all of our family and friends have lost one of the "good ol' boys" on March 14, 2019.

Doug Plunkett was born in New Westminster on May 21, 1950. Doug grew up in Surrey and Burnaby with his parents George and Francis "Skip", two brothers, David and Greg, and twin sisters, Diane and Donna.

He met Corrine and made the best decision of his life marrying her on April 7, 1972 and together those two hippies decided to move away from big city life and bought a cabin to live in at Missezula Lake. Doug was hired on the spot as a bucker at Northwood (now Weyerhaeuser).

He became the proud father of four children, Janelle (since passed), Holly, Liese and Jay. One of his greatest achievements was being called "Grandpa" by his two grandchildren Jack and Olive. Doug easily made friends and loved to have fun, play tricks, give out nicknames and make jokes. He also loved to spend time with his older brother, Dave, in a boat getting sunburnt and drinking beer, waiting for that elusive big fish of Missezula Lake.

Celebration of life will be held at Missezula Lake Summer 2019.
