Bollman, Douglas Carl

We are so sad to announce the passing of Doug. We don’t have the words to say how much Doug will be missed by his daughter Tanya (Kris) Kahle and granddaughter Rebecca; his son Todd (Karen) Bollman, Marlene and her family; Dan and Karen Fraser; Cale and Ashley; Colin and Cory; Gord and Margaret Fraser; Scott and Diane Fraser; Chris, Carley and Scotty. He will be missed by his sister Penny (Helmet) Eger; his brothers Ted, Barry (Pam), Glen (Cathy) and their families; his aunts Marlin (Ron) Kowatski; Kim Clarke and Phillis Douglas as well as his many good friends and his 4-legged friends; Aggie, Jones and Luci.

Doug was predeceased by his parents Carl Bollman and Evelyn Arnott.

Doug was beyond brave and never let his health rule his life. In his own words to a nurse about two months ago— “You will find me a great patient and a humorous fellow”. This was so true.

Marlene hosted a gathering at their home at

2174 Princeton-Summerland Road on Sunday,

August 23 at 2:00 p.m., to “have a bite and a beer” on Doug—at his request.

A very special thank you to Dr. John Adams in Princeton and Dr. Sarah Broder in Penticton for their care and true kindness over the past years.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to

Canuck Place, Children’s Hospital or to your choice of charity. Thank you.

Condolences may be sent to the family c/o
