Cyril Vincent Skinner

March 22, 1921 – December 29, 2010

Cyril passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord, surrounded by family, after a year of declining health but 89 years serving his Lord.

He is survived by Mary, his wife of 58 years, daughters Merrilee and Carol, sons Randy (wife Patti) and Craig (wife Mary) as well as five grandchildren: Lauren, Brendan, Hayley, Kelsey and Eli. Predeceased by mother Ida, father Arthur, brothers Sid and Reg and sister Evelyn.

Cyril was born in Vancouver, graduated from Kitsilano High School and served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941-1945. He returned to his work with the City of Vancouver, as supervisor of the printing and mail department until his retirement.

Cyril left Vancouver City Hall and moved with Mary to Princeton in 1979 to co-found Camp Tulahead, which became their passion through 32 years of retirement.

Cyril was greatly loved and will be missed by an extended circle of family, friends and co-workers.

Memorial Services will be held at Berea Baptist Church in Surrey, January 8th, and Princeton Fellowship Baptist Church, January 11th.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Camp Tulahead.
