Carla passed away peacefully June 11, 2018. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Ariel, Clover (Ken), Karen, and  many grandchildren. Carla is survived by her sisters Christine and Claudia, and brother Geoff, plus numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Carla was born July 29th, 1951 in Vernon, BC, but spent most of her life in New Westminster and Princeton. She was known for her creativity, including her love of writing and poetry. She shone during her stint as the editor of the Similkameen Spotlight. Who didn't laugh out loud while reading her "Off the Cuff" column. She was the self-appointed "grammar police". One didn't mess with the "Queen's English"- ever!

Her creativity also ventured into music and art. She taught herself how to read music and play the guitar, accompanied by a beautiful singing voice. She always had a deep love of nature and appreciation of the simple things in life.

A special thank you to the nursing staff at Princeton General Hospital for their compassion and care.
