Murray, Allen Stanley

December 17, 1944 - November 3, 2010

Allen was born December 17, 1944 in Fredericton, New Brunswick and passed away as a result of a heart attack while hunting on November 3rd, 2010. He was the seventh of eleven children born to Daisy and Murdoch Murray.

Allen moved from New Brunswick to Princeton in 1964 to start a new life and family. He worked various jobs, including a small appliance repair business until he began working at the sawmill in 1973. He worked at the mill for 33 years and was a Millwright for most of those years.

He enjoyed the challenges of his work and was well respected by his co-workers.

Using his skills as a Millwright, Allen could build or fix almost anything, and had a special passion for carpentry. He was also an avid outdoorsman with a love of fishing, hunting and camping. His love of fishing led to a passion for fly fishing and tying flies. His collection of flies would be the envy of any fisherman.

Allen is survived by Pat Fawcett, who cared for and supported him during his declining health in his final years. He is also survived by his son’s; Allen and Thane, and most of his siblings.

Allen was a part of the Princeton community for 46 years and will be greatly missed by friends and family. In the end, he was doing what he loved.

May he rest in peace.

The family would also like to thank the many

Search and Rescue crews, RCMP, and Princeton residents that helped with the search.

Memorial to be held: Princeton Legion,
