The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen and FireSmart will hold wood chipping events throughout the region in May.
The events are planned to help residents remove flammable materials from their properties.
Those who want to participate can register their addresses for the mobile wood chipper.
Branches, trees and twigs up to 30 centimetres in diameter will be accepted, along with shubs and bushes, such as cedars and junipers, with no roots attached.

Naramata FireSmart mobile wood chipping event: Saturday, may 10, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Naramata Fire Department will have a tent and chipper drop site at Manitou Park from 9:30 a.m. until noon. To register, visit https://forms.office.com/r/DLcgkggWDz.
