Just before midnight on Sunday, Feb. 12 Princeton RCMP stopped a car on Bridge Street and narrowly missed a chance to arrest a local man wanted on an arrest warrant.
According to Sgt. Rob Hughes, officers pulled the vehicle over for not having valid insurance.
When the car came to a stop a man in the passenger seat opened the door and fled.
Police recognized the wanted man, Hughes said, but could not locate him during a search of the area.
The driver was cited for not having insurance and the vehicle was towed.
