A walk to honour the many Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women will be held in Hedley on May 5.

At 9:30 a.m. there is a gathering outside the Upper Similkameen Indian Band office.

At 10:45 a.m. the walk will travel through town and over to the cenotaph before returning to the USIB office for song and prayer.

There will be a lunch at noon following the walk and ceremony.

For those who wish to, there will be smudging available at 10:30 a.m ahead of the walk.
